Why Farcaster?
I spend time on Farcaster because it’s one of the few places where I can actually interact with people I respect, not just watch them from a distance like an animal at the zoo. Here, I get to ask questions, join the conversation, and contribute in a way that feels meaningful—not just passive scrolling.
I’m drawn to decentralized social networks because they align with the spirit of the internet I grew up with—open, chaotic, and full of potential. I wouldn’t be who I am today without that version of the internet, and as we watch the goon squad line up to carve it into walled gardens and extract every ounce of value, decentralized networks feel more important than ever.
Farcaster, in particular, is exciting because it’s more than just a social app—it’s a network that’s easy to build on, scrape, and experiment with. It’s not trying to trap you; it’s giving you something to work with. 4 replies
