I've never actually been to a conference that made me think "Wow, that was time well spent" afterwards. 😆

I like maximizing serendipity and there have certainly been conferences with a ton of serendipitous encounters that made it worth it, but the overall ROI is not there for me anymore

As a freelancer, I paid thousands out of pocket to fly to international conferences and I ended up making returns on all of them (e.g. customer acquisitions)
