1. Used CDJs
2. DJed off of a flash drive. Computer only.

imo the main benefit of CDJs is the portability of your sets via USB

other than that, a controller / laptop can move the crowd just the same. most sets just come down to loops, tempo shift, beat jumping, and cue points

i haven’t checked replies to see if others believe this is blasphemy, but the usb portability is the #1 reason why i moved to cdjs— i had too many equipment mishaps to not make the switch lol
