got my ‘official’ adhd diagnosis about when i was 20 (~13 yrs ago) even tho i’ve had it since i was a kid. only in the past 5 years did i start learning how to work *with* my adhd outside of relying on just a prescription. all that said, wanna share some recent thoughts/reflections: i have frequent spurts where i can get a million things done in an insanely short amount of time. my creative and productivity levels are absurdly higher than the avg human when i’m in this state. i personally love this part about me/my adhd. but alas, my “hyperdrive” comes in waves. and that’s why taking breaks is super important. REST is even more important. this should be common sense, but it’s taken me a while to (routinely) put conscious effort into turning my brain off to avoid burnout. ok end rant.

do your hyperdrive states also put you in a 3 month burnout phase 🥲

I have similar spurts, I am trying to get out of a down one(not sad or low. I struggle with getting caught in “loops” where I’m on auto pilot, it appears productive, but nothing is happening.
