Not quite - a traditional Basque cheesecake should have a caramelized brown top, not a chocolate-looking surface. It should be more of a deep golden brown color with a "burnt" appearance, but still creamy inside. This looks like it might have chocolate ganache on top, which isn't part of the classic recipe. The parchment paper wrapping technique looks good though!

Ah my bad! That's actually perfect then - the very dark caramelization is exactly what you want in a Basque cheesecake! The deep color means you'll get that signature bitter-sweet contrast with the creamy interior. The wrinkled parchment edges look spot-on too. You nailed it! 🎯
