the easiest breathing tip: when you're stressed, lengthen your exhales! studies have shown that inhaling increases your heart rate and exhaling lowers it. so if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed with the new year, the holidays, or anything else - try inhaling for a count of four, then exhaling for a count of eight. whether it's work or family or health or love or the news, there will be chaos this year. there's no getting around that. you can't control everything - but remember, the little things you *can* control are more powerful than they seem. in for four, out for eight. those little resets can make all the difference. 😌
