Being French and just coming back from the UK, I will not say this is entirely false but I will also state that what is always shocking me in the UK is the “big brother is watching you” constantly, everywhere, and all the posters to incentivise people to report on other people: “See it, say it, sorted. “

I beg to differ. Coming from a city renowned as “the safest city in the world” (now decayed and become a police state under CCP), I feel that the law enforcement in UK is not strong, especially for non-violent crimes like burglary. Offenders are likely to face minimal penalties even if caught. The “Big Brother” systems and encouragement to report crime, is an unfortunate necessity and better than having no measures in place.
