PuNk ARt

I try not to overthink GG Allin.  I have always had this deep feeling that he is what punk is meant to strive for but also what punk is meant to rebel against. So, when we think too much, and try to create a definition, it all just evaporates.

The violence is not very punk. I think of him as more “hardcore” than “punk”. More akin to the skinheads in the UK, or the “Oi” sub-genre of punk which both came much later than the early punk of the mid seventies.
