Sometimes—or dare I say always—when things don’t go as planned, it’s because something even better is waiting to happen.

Today, when Lethu and I met, the perfectly overcast sky suddenly gave way to an unrelenting, merciless sun. None of the visuals I had pictured came to life—the sun was too harsh, Lethu couldn’t float as we had envisioned, and the lilies were gone. And yet, out of all that, something entirely unexpected and utterly magnificent emerged. 

Creativity always has its own way of surprising us.
