I love water gardens. And water lilies are the flowers of choice. 

Every day as the sunlight hits the Lillies they open (some are night bloomers). So every day the lillies are born anew. A theme comes to mind, invoking rebirth, renewal, or reinvention. It's something we go through in our lives many times. Perhaps this setting symbolizes the mythical garden of Eden where your subjects are reborn, or find reinvention.
