Netflix starting to incorporate social into their product: Netflix just launched “Moments” that will allow users to quickly save and revisit their favorite scenes from movies and shows and share with their friends. Wdyt?

Makes sense especially if Netflix increasingly views youtube as a big competitor

Yep and social sharing is such natural behavior—people love connecting and talking about what they're doing/thinking/experiencing/watching/loving/hating etc.

I doubt moments from long form scripted content like movies and tv shows take off this way. Social sharing of YouTube works because the content is memes, informative, depicts reality, news, sports, music, short form comedy etc. Netflix content isn’t really suited for this, at least not at scale.
