Will continue sharing some stories I didn鈥檛 get to share while I was still in Ukraine. I got to meet Audrey MacAlpine, an American reporter based in Ukraine who covers the war for United24. I鈥檝e been following her reporting and sharing her articles here on Farcaster, but her personal journey was so wild I wanted to share it too. Audrey is an amazing bluegrass-country singer (!!!!) and musician who was based in Nashville, Tennessee. She also played upright bass with the Grammy-winning Sierra Ferrell. When russia invaded Ukraine, she uprooted her life to volunteer and help. She became a humanitarian aid worker helping civilians in frontline areas, and now she鈥檚 a reporter covering the war - she is doing assignments on the frontlines, embedded with military units. She has also been reporting from Syria. She鈥檚 one of the coolest people I met while in Ukraine, and I hope we get to do something together when I return in a few months.
