The Valley of a Thousand Pagodas is one of Myanmar's famous historical landmarks. Spread over an area of just about 4 square kilometers, it is home to thousands of Buddhist and other temples. This invaluable archaeological zone features centuries-old structures, many of which are richly adorned with gold and other precious materials.
