To balance my token criticisms and be constructive: I think this is the growth vector Farcaster ought to lean into. Both Bluesky and X (aka Redsky) are exhausting due to politics — neither caters to the “gray tribe” FC could be an oasis for technologists — frames and unruggable distribution are clutch primitives for this

Doesn’t drive enough growth. Technologists are on X despite all the baggage because the most important AI people are on X. Crypto is our differentiation, for better and worse.

For now, but it’s a war of attrition. Most technology ICs dislike conflict and being in the center of it. Bluesky meanwhile is actively anti AI and crypto Leaning into crypto is not bad per se, but it’s how you do it. Token shilling late in the meta ain’t it though Less Monaco, more Singapore

Also @dwr.eth the journalist “meta” is the most interesting thing happening right now imo because they’ve been run out of both X and Bluesky, but have a deep need for this format Need more time to tell if it’s sticky, but feels promising — can anchor as the chyron layer to things like substack, and actually have stables be a useful form of monetization

Recognize this may run counter to no politics at surface level, but the revealed preference from the journalists is that they too want a place where they don’t get run out by a polarized tribe
