It is showing the world:

1. That consumer crypto is real

2. People are sick of web2 social b.s.

3. Incentive mechanisms feasible only with blockchains are POWERFUL growth drivers

4. Centralized planning cannot beat permissionless innovation

Agree with most of that, but let’s not pretend like centralized planning isn’t driving most of the growth here (as it should be in this early stage)

I think most of the speculative interest is a lagging indicator following the frames launch. Which was pure Merkle Manufactory

Seems like meme coins, and NFTs are driving a lot of it today.

Core team should certainly get the credit for setting up the system and providing the primitives, but it's been heavily community driven growth.
