Baby’s first major scam 🥲 Incredibly sad but also a sign of growth and opportunity in this ecosystem Reminds me of this conversation between @maurelian.eth and @0xstark.eth — can’t avoid this stuff without killing the goodness flourishing Just have to learn from it and channel resources well (maybe fewer shitcoins?)

Did a scam actually happen here? Or were Clanker just working with an anon that they didn’t know the history of?

The latter is still a scam imo — omitting information about oneself to create an false image in order to promote assets Proxy was the yapper — without his shilling, Clanker wouldn’t have been as successful

Some part of me dislikes that if someone re-builds a reputation as a new identity and provides and creates value from it, if they’ve made a big mistake in the past, it’s a scam. I’m not saying the Clanker team should’ve handled this any differently, to be clear. It just doesn’t wholly feel like a cut and dry scam, to me. I’m not dying on any hill, here though, it’s complex. Does any of this resonate with you?

Forgiveness and redemption are important -- that definitely resonates What doesn't resonate is that there was no integration of the past in this case. Proxy did not disclose his former failures with his current team, let alone the rest of us. So I don't think it makes sense to extend grace when lies were foundational to this arc

Love. Thank goodness redemption arcs are allowed to be bumpy.
