Is there a rationalist guide to marketing? Does something like this even exist? 

It’s one of the skills in my toolbox that’s not so well-developed, but I have no idea where to get started to develop it. Most podcasts/YouTube/blogs on these are utter bullshit

There must be some kind of first principles guide to it other than “I got lucky”, “look how I lied to other people and got away with it”, or “what you need to do is to be good looking and flaunt it”
