I actually maintained a desktop version of yup live that works for Mac, Windows, and Linux.(Tauri) Which also has farcaster functionality. Compiles in GitHub actions, but I didn't update the version since like at least 8-9 releases of web/android yup live. I could probably update the version with a few lines of code and triggering a compile. The thing with a desktop client of farcaster is that you can't interact well with a wallet only with wallet connect since the app will be isolated. So is either wallet connect for wallet, Netnar signer( but you won't be able to handle tx frames) or you embed a wallet in the app itself(and users need to import PKs) So desktop version doesn't have any noteworthy advantages vs a web one. Only advantages are better performance and native notifications(although web can also do native notifications) but you lose on wallet options and SEO.
