3 months later, my 2.5yo son says "Papa, no" so often that it's become a game. "Do you want some cheese?" "Papa, No" "Do you want some watermelon?" "Papa, No" "Do you want to go for a walk?" "Papa, No" "Do you want to go for a ride?" "Papa, No" "Do you want to keep saying "No"?" ... *2yo glares at me knowingly*

I feel odd “liking” this. Not sure if I should be congratulating you on the evolving dialogue or sad to be rejected that often when all you want to do is love him with activities and food. 🫠

For sure. Screaming and talking usually don't happen simultaneously so it's all about getting him talking and keeping him talking.
