What I find interesting about parenting these days is thinking about how I felt when I was their age. For example, my son is preparing for his high school entrance exams next month, and I think about how I would have felt then.

By doing this, I don't have to give my opinion from a parent's point of view. Because now that I'm feeling the tension and pressure, I think my parents' opinions are just noise.
Then the advice to take a deep breath when you get nervous in an interview is much more meaningful.
