Parenting

Today I was out from morning to evening to meet with a friend, which is unusual. When I go out, I tell my children that I will be back at this time, but I was a little late getting home because the roads were crowded. If the children are hungry, they go to a nearby convenience store.
I had a mysterious sense of duty to give the kids lots of instructions before I left.

But they are growing up and thinking for themselves. Maybe it's time for me to graduate from my mission statement that I am a mom and I have to do this.

Lately I've been thinking that parents need to update their children as they grow up!

I feel it is important to entrust something to a child. I'm thinking my next update of myself this time will be in 5 years.
That is when my daughter graduates from high school. If things are straight forward, my kids will be in college then.
A major milestone in my parenting.
