First I have seen the coverage of Nusantara in a mainstream Western publication. And, of course, it is the Economist with their characteristic bearish headline. Makes me actually bullish about the prospects now. 

The SoP forum conversations on the topic was more comprehensive and provided for a better understanding of the motivations. Treating Nusantara as the cultural hyper-object it is with appropriate historical and technological sensibilities is just simply far more generative. Also, loved Kevin Martens Wong’s essay on the topic.
