the cruelty, constitutional crisis, isolation of allies, and fall of the dollar as the reserve currency has many of us who served our country going through the stages of grief rn

Been watching Band Of Brothers again, and:

1) it’s a masterpiece
2) it shows how brutal things can get

I think once the generation that fought WW2 passed, our collective memory of past atrocities was lost

If we don’t re-sensitize to cruelty and veer away from it now, I worry that we’ll have to learn the lessons of war again
