see in asian, super apps really stuck. in korea, commerce, entertainment, cab, every single thing can be done on KaKao Talk. this can be the future of farcaster imo. protocol enabling permissionless app building is cool, but need some convergence of attention surface area for the apps to go to market at scale.

it's more that asian governments tend to go all-in on one player (tencent in china, kakao in korea, line in japan) because it's easier for them to control

thought meta had a shot at it, but somehow was not well executed. strong messenger presence is the common foundation for the origin of these super apps, but even with Messenger & Whatsapp, meta is very far from there. no main player in the us actually has a short-term shot at closing the gap atm tbh
