How to improve your leaderboard ranking 1. Choose a niche to a top 1% caster on Farcaster today and try to have one extra thoughtful cast a day (like a mini blog post) 2. More generally, cast *a lot* (many times a day); doesn't need to be about the above niche 3. Use catchy, brief titles, see @balajis 4. Make your casts text-heavy 5. Write text in short paragraphs (2-3 lines max); avoid wall of text 6. Include one embed only (link/image/video) 7. Engage: Reply to comments 8. Direct message followers your most important posts 9. Create niche-focused group chats and post links to your casts to help kickstart engagement

## Why text-heavy? It's a text-based platform! Yes we support media, but the core activity and engagement on Farcaster today is still text-based. That doesn't mean you can't do well as a visual artist. But considering adapting your post to the platform. Share a bit more about the story behind the art, your creative process, a reflection on something that happened in your life recently that reminded you of the piece, etc. ## Do I really need a title? No, but posts with titles help catch people's attention. ## Direct messaging when I post, really? How do you think all of the big accounts on all of the major social media platforms get big? They leverage their network (even when it's small) to help boost the content. Public social media is powered via private group chats, many such cases.

I don't really agree with group chats, it becomes real farms. I have left many of them because all they did was exchange tips. Most of them have been labeled as spam and drooling. Thanks to my decision to leave those groups I got more real interactions, and I like that they appreciate what I share without forcing anyone, I have direct conversations in the casts and make authentic bonds
