appreciation

Growing up as a Christian, I was taught to always give thanks to God irrespective of the circumstances. 

As I grew older, I tried many times to understand that concept because it doesn’t really make any sense. Why should I be thankful even when I’m sad? 

And as a full grown adult, I would say the concept of being grateful and appreciative makes a lot of difference because the truth is, there’s always something to be thankful for. No matter how bad the situation is, there’s always something that would make you smile and lighten up your mood. And sometimes, you don’t need to search for it.
