Is your career path linear or nonlinear? Some people have careers that follow a straight line—each job is just a step toward a better role. For others, the path twists and turns, taking unexpected detours. As the world changes, so are career paths. There are a lot more people doing side gigs and starting small businesses. My own career path has been anything but traditional. I skipped college to run a pizza franchise and when that didn’t work out, I taught myself SEO. That led to a combination of side gigs, businesses, and now a more traditional career. My struggles with addiction made this journey more difficult but also taught me invaluable skills that I use everyday. How has your career path shaped you? Has it been a straightforward journey, or has it taken a few unexpected turns along the way? What lessons have you learned?

Wow! Your story is quite inspiring. For me, it has been a very straightforward path. I have been on a particular career path for more than 5 years. Funny enough, it wasn’t planned from the beginning but somewhere down the line, it happened and my life has never remained the same. After graduation, I wanted something different. I applied to several places but non clicked. After job hunting for one year plus, I gave up on what I wanted and decided to try other jobs. I saw an advert for a supply chain officer and I applied without any experience and boom! I have been on that same job for 5 years now. Being a supply chain officer changed my prospective about life! I became more careful, articulated , coordinated and paid more attention to details. Would I want to change to something else? The answer is NO! I have acquired so many supply chain certifications and honestly, I love that career path for myself. So yes, It has been a very straight line.

Receive inbound goods from factories. The whole supply chain lifecycle from procurement, logistics and distribution, and warehousing. Identify and manage risks that could affect the supply chain cycle and also manage the team including the warehouse cleaners. With my years of experience, I still find the logistics aspect more challenging. My organization has a policy on 24 hours delivery time for all customers. And my warehouse covers logistics to 7 different states. You can imagine the daily hussle we go though to achieve the target.
