Another painting style is the Ink-wash painting technique.  The origin of this style of painting dates back to the fifth century in China.
 These paintings are drawn on Chinese or Japanese paper, which is a special paper.  In this style of painting, brushes with different densities of ink are used to create attractive shadows in works of art.
 This art started in China and became very popular in East Asia.
