This week I built: /alexandria's NFT ebook release of the Konrath Dark Thriller Collective with author J.A. Konrath, who’s sold a few million books worldwide. It’s a retrospective of his thrillers, plus brand new afterwords to each one that basically sum up to his autobiography, and a new exclusive novella. 16 novels, hundreds of unique covers, original music. The compendium ebook is 1.7 million words long! We made this release, which included ebook download, on February 26, the same day Amazon stopped allowing Kindle ebook download. So far we’ve gotten great feedback from Joe’s fans who were not into web3 at ALL, and now so many of them are saying they totally get why NFT books and true decentralized ebook ownership is important. This is mass onboarding!! So grateful to @base for such smooth, fast transactions, with low gas that makes it possible for us to offer these ebooks at prices comparable to web2 ebooks. This is how we onboard and it’s really working!

Some real feedback from Joe’s fans that has us absolutely delighted: “I am absolutely fascinated. I can’t wait to see what happens with NFT books. I would only buy print editions if there was a book I wanted to own and read again but I love ebooks, I just knew buying one did not mean it was mine to keep. This whole idea fascinates me and I can’t wait to grow my NFT books collection. Thanks again, J.A. Konrath for pioneering this.” “I already have the books but upon reading what Mr. Konrath wrote I feel better owning the content like a physical book. I have about 17,000 books on my kindle and have been wondering about the real ability to "pass on" my library to other family members outside of possessing my kindle. I've invested too much money so this is a concern. I'm glad you are addressing this.”
