On a more somber note, today’s date is important, too: today, February 26, Amazon takes away the right for people to download offline copies of their Kindle books.
This only makes more explicit what’s always been true: we don’t own our e-books (or any digital media) on traditional e-book distribution platforms.

This Amazon thing isn’t just a technicality of user experience. The issue of not owning digital media can start with relatively small inconveniences, like not being able to watch certain episodes or seasons of your favorite shows.

Oh, and most of the editions range from ~$5 (for one novel) to ~$15 (for 16 novels, an autobiography’s worth of additional material, and a completely unique cover). And as always, you can sign in with an email and purchase with a credit card.
