Spent the morning self editing myself to try and make a statement while still being a “nice guy”. Fuck that, this channel was made for people to speak their minds not drown in niceties so here it goes:

@jessepollak  is not a good person to be the face/voice of @base 

Constant cringe posting, clueless about crypto culture and the responsibility of someone who sits in his seat. He may be an excellent coder and leader behind the scenes but is an awful external communicator

Crypto will be in much better shape if we collectively speak hard truths. Most of the time a coder isn’t going to be the best person for marketing/sales (and vice a versa needless to say). Base needs an intelligible strategy and people who understand how to communicate that strategy, engage talent, and make base something more than a soulless corporate chain

if you come for the queen you best not miss

Cheers Dani, have been marinating on these thoughts for a while. Probably won’t be popular here but what’s the point of casting if I don’t opine on things I care about?

Imo he does not communicate the value of Base and has overseen several top apps leave for Solana

I’m Team Jesse. He’s why Base is the top L2 chain.

I agree that Jesse isn’t the right person, but I think Base’s branding is very strong, conveys values, and has a solid strategy. Maybe it’s just another leader lost in hubris…
