I frequently get the criticism I’m too political as an artist. Things an artist would only hear in “Web3” because everywhere else, that’s just being an artist.

to be fair, this is a problem in trad art too... plenty of trad galleries and museums shy away from political art lest they raise the ire of a collector or wealthy benefactor. Anywhere art is a commodity or store of value instead of a store of values, you are likely to trip over this. ✊

true, political belief or other types of belief is necessary as a human. artists portray their believes in an aesthetic way. tbh the worst thing of a human, or an artist, or a data analyst like me, is lacking of believes. arts then are lifeless and data are just stiff numbers.
