Achievement unlocked. I got a Japanese phone number. This is a huge deal as a foreigner. And now I can book cool JR “tours” and get limited edition goshuin and other cool items. It’s very hard to get a real number without having a long term visa but I paid a premium to have a third party set it up for me. Hoping this serves me well in Kyoto for special night illumination events. Crosses fingers!
