I can understand the locally deleted photo resurfacing bug… but the remote iCloud photo issue puzzles me.

When it’s one case only I wonder if the “as per Apple instructions” were really followed correctly. In a single case the human factor weights a lot

in the end the third party resell story was false.
it was a local corruption of the photo database.

Yeah, I wonder if Apple is not correctly de-authorising and fully de-registering the device that was signed into an Apple ID
