Fascinating explainer, thank you. Whenever people say “what’s the big deal with slightly warmer air”, I feel the urge to remind them that temperature is just a measure of the kinetic energy of the molecules in the atmosphere. The warmer it is, the greater its energy, and thus the more frequent and intense the weather episodes. Add in a greater capacity for a warm atmosphere to store water molecules, and we get these results
