I can’t stand the phrase “double click on” outside its literal meaning. Who started that and why?

Biomimicry, Design Justice, sci-fi, and a tsp of fantasy.

TIL: do they use it for anything other than a double click on an item on the screen?

I just don’t say it. I also think people don’t use it consistently, sometimes they mean it as “exploring more” and sometimes as “building on”.
