Do you also do a say no to anything day to counterbalance?

It feels like it because of our sense of guiltiness. We are not saying “no”, we are educating them. We are giving them a point of reference. We are giving them the rules they will break when they are teenagers. 
Without rules you are lost because you have nothing to fight against in your puberty and apathy and boredom will be the only outcome.

That’s an everyday thing or at least that’s what it feels like
