surprised how often i still hear “but why will they have value?” when suggesting token designs that are on the memetic side of the spectrum there are many different ways to create tokens people want, and making one that just feels good to own because of the belief system that it represents is a very valid and fundamentally important one

value = sustained marginal net buy pressure people can want to own and more people should want to own it (at higher prices) in the future
