DeepSeek should be encouraging for crypto x AI folks. It came from AI industry outsiders, had modest capital requirements, the breakthrough came from algorithmic creativity (vs scale). Way better fit.

ml grad schools in china are def not outsiders. they're very competitive be it less innovative on some scale. also they're serious researchers/engineers; not grifters selling zk-proving-bft-blue-coin-token as a pump-dump to the greatest fool

ai x crypto has promise not for infra but in agent tooling/governance etc  but somehow everyone keeps launching a token asap. why. idk. but every freaking time. same shit sadly

the scorpion and the frog. Launching tokens is crypto’s nature. it’ll get sorted out in time.

that is my hope too. I am not the best fit but I were a math wiz or capital allocator, I would only bet things that enable: local/offline/on-device models, homomorphic encryption ... or someone, somewhere building vanet/manet like blockchains that can run on small devices over mesh n/w with secure computation (maybe?)
