Has anyone tried “Stake to Follow”? You have to stake to follow me. I have unilateral ability to slash you. If you’re worried you’ll be slashed, don’t follow me.

Maybe stake to reply or quote? Could be that a user stakes tokens to allow them to reply/quote to anyone and the person they reply to or quote can slash some %?

Interesting concept but too much friction (and limited upside) imo and most people want more followers anyway
