Curious - how often does the added tax return complexity prevent you from doing something onchain? As in, “Ah man I’ve gotta document this shit. Never mind”

every time I do something onchain the tax software I use pricing brackets are in the back of my head and I'm keeping a rough count to make sure I don't level up into the one that's another $200 bucks

prevents me from experimenting more with defi, especially the newer more cutting edge protocols a few years ago I put a pretty big bag of UNI into pooltogether and got hit with an unexpected tax bill for it because I technically swapped my UNI for a wrapped token, even though I didn't actually sell any of it. so I've been a lot more cautious since then, even though I'd love to deploy more of my capital into defi
