i think it’s masterful distraction strategy that we’re discussing immigrants in Ohio eating pets as some abstract definition of racism instead of focusing on the *actual* issues caused by an unchecked border (national security and debt, employment, healthcare), and i think we’re all foolish to be falling for it.

idk if I'm wrong here, but the way I see this:

5% of people maybe truly believe this story and think it's a pb
45% of people think this extravagant but still relay it because they either find it laughable, or cynically want to exploit it for political benefits.
50% think this story is BS

So personally i dont think we're "all falling for it", I think there's a very small part of the population *actually* falling for it.
