Seeing more instances of people stating the app feeling like its a "step back in time". At the current state of the network and Warpcast home feed algo — who you follow pretty much determines what you see. Warpcast is a mirror of the effort you put in to build your following graph. You get what you put in. (Not meant to be a specific dunk on @gm8xx8)

i see the same KOL on all my accounts because you show me stuff one person i followed likes and all the KOL mostly follow and interact with eachother ofc it's a step back in time for him he is the only one keeping it up to speed. wtf literally all the other content is 3 day old twitter from KOLs

when the man in charge actively reposts best-of content from other sites as his own, it's called "research" and "mastery of social media". when others try it, it's called "low effort" and "spam". the local maxima for a KOL is to copy the most, but be accused of unoriginal content the least. I believe this is easier on fc than on any other network. however, the upside is so small that few with skill will look to capture it. so we are left with mostly low-skill and learner attempts
