I appreciate this optimistic perspective and there's certainly applications for such a model, especially in the "content" sector. 

Art already was tokenized, so having it as a "token" isn't new. This is about the supply, distribution and liquidity. For art, there was never any need to have 1B supply. We also saw how quickly that fad died off after a few "bigger" artists had runners with the "coined" Zora mints a few months ago. There's simply not enough liquidity to drive that market, especially as it niches down. 

Plus, collecting and connecting with art ≠ trading "coined" art. Just feel this format doesn't work for the artists, on a platform that previously touted itself as being for the art. But that's just my opinion and I recognize I can go elsewhere.

Still not convinced the @zora "coin" model -  its supply, distribution and (lack of) liquidity - will be positive for artists.

Happy to be proven wrong.

I also applaud @mbranson for continuously spearheading into new applications and formats, and I think you should too if you think it could be a fun experiment! I'm not against anyone using it, and would love to know how it goes for you <3

still with you on being baffled about how this is good for artists, but lowkey i want to fafo and see how it actually feels.

i applaud @mbranson for trying out this new model and actually being the reason why that little fafo but in me stays alive. 

i dont know if i would be able to put one of my photographs as a face of the erc20, but maybe just something else entirely.
