Workout optionally this year has been at an all time low, since November I’ve done, almost exclusively, 100 pushups and 100 squats (broken up however you want) 225 still moves just fine though All you need is body weight exercise done consistently and you will gain or retain strength.

The science on how much you need to do to maintain is pretty crazy. Iirc you can maintain >90% of your strength with 1/3 the volume indefinitely, and you can maintain for a few months with 1 set per exercise per week

Call me a convert. I’ve also been doing a few reps of day now for a few weeks of various brief max load movements, like 3-5 reps of full effort pull-ups as explosive as possible and then that’s it, and similar but for jumping. I wish I would have measured my vertical start to now because I know it’s bonkers. I took my daughter to vball one night and figured I’d try and grab rim, I barely got off the ground, 3 months later I can grab rim again doing 3-5 high energy jumps
