tbh I have no idea how it works so quickly. would also be curious to learn how it's done my guess is either: - running a gigantic indexer/database (would be impressive) - using some other existing API under the hood - really good batch contract reads + caching but it feels too fast for this

The eth JSON RPC api lets you specify a block height I believe? Alchemy has a simple wrapper: https://docs.alchemy.com/reference/getownersforcontract-v3

That’s not a simple wrapper on the ETTH JSON RPC - they index the chain and offer APIs to their database I’m pretty sure But yea maybe holders.at just uses the Alchemy API
