I learned two things recently: (1) I can enter a broken system with `nixos-enter` from a live USB environment and (2) I really should be mounting disks by UUID/label otherwise adding/removing disks can render the system unbootable 😅

Haha, nah. It’s a barebones mini PC from cwwk, I just added RAM and storage. It’s got pretty nice expandability too (a couple of sata & usb ports, m.2)

8 cores, 32gb of ram in a package slightly larger than a cup of coffee. Move over raspberry pi, you’re getting replaced 👋

Had an old laptop with a broken hinge gathering dust for years. I removed its screen entirely and fortunately it boots headless. Time to give it the good ol’ NixOS treatment and have it run something useful 😬

That's really neat! I didn't know entire flakes could copied across machines so easily. For remote deploys one could use nixos-rebuild directly `nixos-rebuild switch --target-host ssh://server --flake .#server` (builds locally, evaluates remotely)

Started working on a tool to build Noir programs with Nix this weekend. It's pretty bare-bones right now (only supports self-contained programs, no dependencies) but I'm thinking of integrating proving and verifying of circuits too 🙂
