Farcaster’s growth reminds me of the early days of Twitter, except this time, the incentives and architecture are fundamentally different. The question isn’t whether decentralized social can work, but rather - what’s the inflection point where it has to work? History suggests networks scale when they hit a ‘pull event’, something that forces mass adoption. What’s that moment for Farcaster? Is it creator monetisation? A breakout app? Something else entirely?

I distinctly remember Twitter's pull event when that plane landed in the Hudson River It was the first mainstream instance of community news reporting, and that was several years after Twitter was founded The pull for here will happen, hopefully without anything to do with planes though. Had enough of those incidents recently

Yeah, that Hudson River moment crystallized Twitter’s value as real-time, community-driven news. Farcaster’s pull event might follow a similar path, something that proves its unique advantage over centralized platforms. Something that would make Farcaster ‘indispensable’. (And yes hopefully nothing tragic 😆😅)

Perhaps some kind of mass censorship event? DOGE breaks something important and Musk censors people from talking about it?
