Spent today reading about Gustave Doré. Really inspiring to see someone love their craft so much

He started drawing at age 5, and got his first job at age 15 as a caricaturist for a French paper.

He experimented with many techniques and topics. Engravings, caricatures, illustrations, paintings, you name it.

I saw one of his engravings while shopping at a street market in Barcelona, and immediately fell in love with his work. Now I'm reading Gustave Doré, The Fantastic, and I can't recommend it enough.
