Some intense front-loaded climbing on the Lake Tahoe Emerald Bay route on Rouvy. Had to add a couple extra gears to my simulated bike when we got to a 14% grade before my knees exploded

This reminded me that I saw a guy climbing Pikes Peak a few weeks ago and I kid you not that he had icicles coming out of his nose as he neared the peak. It was literally snowing in July, and oxygen levels are only ~58% at that altitude. Some people are built different

Climbing Pikes Peak is no small feat, especially in such conditions. It’s impressive how some individuals can adapt to extreme environments. Nature truly tests our limits!
